"Trust me, its heartbreaking to find a giant scratch across your brand new iPhone 3GS. I found plenty of different of screen protectors on the market, but PhoneDevil's Magic Screens are my favorite. They're easy to apply, require no cutting, and come with a cleaning cloth and a smoothing card to prevent air bubbles.

You can pick from four different editions: Crystal Clear, Matte Clear, Mirror, and Privacy.
The Mirror Edition gives your screen a mirror effect when the phone is off, and it looks quite stylish. The Privacy edition uses special 3M material to prevent unwanted onlookers from viewing your screen; the screen appears turned off if you're not looking at it head-on - a clever concept that works very well."

- PC World Magazine

PhoneDevil's Magic Screen protector: Matte Clear edition protects your screen from scratches, reduces fingerprints and screen glare, and leaves no markings when removed. It does not reduce the touch sensitivity of the screen.
An essential accessory that is also available in Crystal Clear, Mirror and Privacy editions.
Your satisfaction is really important to us, and we will do our best to help ensure that you are a happy PhoneDevil customer.

It's a first time People's Choice Prizefight where you picked the fighters. Can the Incredible live up to it's name? Or will the battle-tested iPhone 3GS go for the knockout punch?

Up until now I haven’t used a screen protector for my iphone 3GS since the screen is glass, but I decided to pick one up after using one with a matte finish. I just liked the way it felt and the fact that it reduced the finger smudges. I did a little research and decided to go with this one…and I’m glad I did. The fit and finish is great. For the most part it’s the same size as the iphone screen so it shouldn’t interfere with any cases. I’m using the CaseCrown two-piece case that covers the silver edge of the phone and it does not interfere with the screen protector.

    A few things:

    1. Before applying, make sure your screen is clean, free of smudges and lint.

    2. Hold the edges of the protector as you apply it so you don’t get any finger prints on the sticky side. I’m not sure if they would show or not due to the matte finish, but it doesn’t hurt.

    3. I started applying the protector around the home button on the iphone so it would be centered. Then I went up from there.

I would recommend buying two protectors in case you mess up the first one (for the price, it’s a no brainer). Somehow a piece of red lint ended up in the middle of the screen. Not a huge deal and I can only really see it if I look for it, but still…

    Highly recommended!

Well like everyone else has already stated, these are very good screen protectors.

    Very easy to apply.

We ordered 4 of the Matte Clear (anti-glare) ones and we are glad we did, the anti glare is nice plus it has a silky smooth finish that works great with the Iphone’s touch screen.

They installed perfectly and look like it is the way the Iphone came from the factory, in fact this is how they SHOULD have come from the factory with these perfect anti glare screen protectors already on them.

Don’t even think about getting any other screen protector these are easily the best.

I wanted oh-so-badly for this to be the ultimate screen protector. It seemed to have everything I want: matte finish, easy to apply, excellent protection and–from what I gathered from reading other reviews–excellent customer service. Positives: it arrived quickly, went on easily (I used their advice of using a bit of clear tape to remove any lint that appeared on the screen), and looked great. Negatives: I use the (fantastic) InCase Sider case to protect my iPhone, and its tight fit caused the PhoneDevil screen protector to lift from the edges and bubble. I emailed customer service at PhoneDevil and they got back to me within hours to say they were aware of the problem, and recommending I try a different case. They also said they’d send me some replacement screen protectors, so when I got a new case I’d have a fresh PhoneDevil protector to apply. Can’t ask for better service than that. Okay, back to the negatives: After having the phone in my pocket for ONE day, the screen protector is full of deep scratches. Yes, it was in my pocket with my keys–but I had previously used an InvisibleShield screen protector for TWO years without a single scratch on the protector. I replaced the InvisibleShield only because I was looking for a matte screen protector. Now, after a week with the PhoneDevil screen protector, it looks terrible. While it certainly protected my phone from scratches, the protector itself is prone to deep, ugly gouges. Now I’m back to the InvisibleShield (which is much easier to apply with their new install kit) and I’m pleased as can be. I like to demo the InvisibleShied’s virtues to people by scraping the front of my iPhone with a fork and showing off that it’s unscathed. Can’t do that with a PhoneDevil. Customer Service: A+. Product: C.

I applied this protector to a iPhone 3g and the privacy one to my 3Gs. I love the silky feel to this one on the screen, makes sliding super smooth and was easily applied. I have been through a few screen protectors on both and these just feel alot better and the construction on it felt stronger. Also, PhoneDevil has GREAT customer service!

I had another screen protector that made my iphone look ugly because of all the smudges and the gloss. I LOVE the matte magic screen because it rarely shows smudges and it seems like it also allows you to control the phone better. My husband had major screen protector envy so we tried to find him an ipod touch screen protector from magic screen – but we couldn’t find one :( That was sad.

probably 100-200 less, but if you want, you can get a free iphone 4 from an online promotion at the link below

  7. How’s it feel? I really wish Apple had made the back a matte black like the plastic backing of the new iMacs.

  8. I really like it. Fits really well in my hand, not too smooth so you’d drop it, not too sticky/tacky so you can’t move it around… it’s perfect! :D

  9. Just looks awesome!

  10. Just ordered mine hours ago, in… white :-)

  15. Iphonechic Says:

The reason everyone compares all phones to the iPhone is because there is nothing better. You can’t recreate the Godfather so why bother?

  16. Jonesjc219 Says:

How many droids are there. Get it right the fist time. I don’t wanna spend 200 on a phone then a new one cone out next week. If it wasn’t for iPhone there wouldn’t b a droid. Plus once u jailbreak their isn’t one thing it doesn’t do.

  17. Mhm… a little biased much? The incredible incredibly blows away the 3GS hands down… better camera, better battery life, sweet features, it’s open source, and it rocks animated backgrounds.

I love how in the second round you hardly mention that it has a touch screen that you can (and always will) use instead of the joystick. Not to mention in another prizefight you dig on the Incredible for dropped calls, but this time it’s crystal clear. Get real man.

  18. ArtDamage911 Says:

@1989warren maybe, but not for much longer. been hearing some rumors of a monster of a phone coming out this fall on Verizon running android w/ specs that will eat iPhone4 for breakfast with the 750MHz OMAP core. *sigh droid 2*

  19. ArtDamage911 Says:

@MrDetwaa Personal preference, bro-j. “WHAT RESTRICTIONS”… Really? android = opensource, Apple= greedy games. Not everyone is impressed with Mr. Job’s power trip over the last few years tech. I love Apple but iPhone is not for me. Give me freedom from other people deciding what apps I should be able to install on my phone, releasing buggy phone hardware and software! I love Apple to death for everything else but they are not my first choice for a phone manufacturer.

  33. oiitsdillon Says:

hmmm, ide rather not get a brick touch phone, I can just stay with my SH-01B japanese phone with a 12.2 CCD sensor with xenon flash, keypad, or the option of touchscreen. That actually looks stylish, flash support(omg! cuz that is such a big deal) and just basically a shitload of advanced features. I think droid sucks, to me it wouldn’t be like this if the iphone wasn’t invented. And yes, the iphone sucks as a phone too, it’s just a paperweight with 32gb of movies and music for me

  34. jiggaman2g38 Says:

This guy rides 3gs’s nuts!! I can’t stand the reviews he does…4.5 to 4.3? aRe you on CrAcK? Android is owning iphone!!!!!

  36. 7171561200 Says:

@dtreysoz Disappoint me? No disappointment, it’s just that AT&T says that in their commercials…”Switch to the network with the least dropped calls”. That doesn’t seem to apply here
